Paul Stinchcomb aka Papa:

Paul was truck driver for many years. He also liked to ride horses and participate in the occasional rodeo. July 9, 1994, in a small town rodeo not far from where we live he was steer wrestling. During the event his horse turned, and he didn't. He went head first into and under the bull gates. He broke 6 of the 7 bones in his neck. We were told he most likely would not make it through the night and if he did, he would be paralyzed from the neck down. Our family, friends and people that don't even know started to pray. He made it, was transferred to another hospital where 28 days later, with just three small steps through the doorway, he "walked out". He had several more years of therapy and recovery, but eventually went on to be a RN to help others.

Churches started to ask him if he would come and give his testimony. When there we would sing a song or two to go with his sermon. These churches started to ask us to come back and do a concert, and this is how The Stinchcomb Family as a Southern Gospel group was born.

Sandra Stinchcomb aka Yannie:

Sandra is the rock and center of our family. She has experienced more tragedy and grief than anyone should ever have to. From helping Paul when he was hurt, to helping Joslyn (there is a whole page dedicated to her), and taking care of Grandpa for the last few years. Grandpa recently went on to Heaven. So, she is grieving that as well. However, "through it all" she has stayed steady and her faith has never waivered. She continues to be Mama and Yannie (as her grandkids call her) to many, not just her kids and grandkids. She is prime example of a Proverbs 31 woman! Together Paul and Sandra have 4 children (all 4 are grown), and 9 grandchildren (one of those being Joslyn that they are raising as their own.)

Charity Stinchcomb Montgomery aka Chi Chi:

Charity is the daughter of Paul and Sandra. She has been by their side through the tragic accident when Paul broke his neck, and was also there to help and be there for Joslyn when she was hurt, as Joslyn is an important part of her life as well. Charity is married to Bronson Montgomery who is a firefighter/paramedic. They have three children and also claim Joslyn. Their oldest is in college, their oldest son is doing mission work, and the other two (including Joslyn) are in their senior year of high school. So, fun time looking at colleges and such. Also, Chi Chi, is the name her nieces and nephew call her.
